Didáctica de las Lenguas Extranjeras III (DLE III)

Dear student teachers:

Welcome to this virtual learning environment (VLE) corresponding to Didactics of Foreign Languages III!

This VLE is intended to support what we normally do in the classroom and to provide an opportunity for you to become more autonomous in learning. It will allow you to have access to resources (handouts, articles, books, videos, etc.) and activities, including discussion forums, chat and wikis.

This subject will deal with the teaching of grammar and will integrate what you learned about the teaching of pronunciation and vocabulary in the first semester, and will push it forward the wider topic of speaking as a system, everything approached from a communicative perspective of language and teaching and learning.

These are the aims of DLE III: It is expected that you should be able to:
1.Acknowledge the importance of grammar for communication in a foreign language.

2. Become familiar with different techniques for presenting grammar in context
 Recall different ways of conveying the meaning of new grammatical patterns.

3. Recall different ways of highlighting the form of new grammatical patterns.

4. Become familiar with ways to check that students have understood the meaning and use of a grammar point.    

5.Show positive attitudes and behaviors such as responsibility, hard work, and collaboration with  your peers (team work); professionalism, and commitment not only with teaching English but also with educating  the students at school. 

We hope that you are ready to meet the deadlines that will be set here for the completion of activities.
 
Please mind that Moodle will be keeping a record of your participation, and  consequently you will receive  a mark for each activity that you are assigned.
